Credential

In education, a document issued to an individual by an accepted authority permitting the individual to perform appropriate teaching or non teaching services. A credential may be a license issued by a governmental agency, a professional certificate granted by an appropriate professional organization or a diploma or degree granted by an appropriate educational institution.
