Briggs v. Elliot

One of four separate cases consolidated by the U.S. Supreme Court into the single landmark case known as BROWN V. BOARD OF EDUCATION OF TOPEKA. In the decision it handed down in 1954, the Court overturned an earlier Court ruling that allowed states to segregate the races in so-called separate but equal schools and other public facilities.
