Internal degree

A rarely used term referring to traditional college degrees earned on campus by following a prescribed program of study and class attendance. The term is used simply to differentiate the internal from the nontraditional EXTERNAL DEGREE earned off-campus through correspondence courses and other methods of self-directed study.
