Raw score - American Education
The actual number of correct answers on a test, unadjusted and unconverted to conventional grading systems or to relative positions in a distribution curve. Thus, the raw, or, as it is sometimes called, crude, score for six questions answered correctly on a test made up of 12 questions is six. As a percentage grade, it would be 50%. Graded by position on a distribution curve, it might, if it were the highest grade in the class, merit an adjusted grade of 90%.
